Il lancio delle vendite del casco da MTB all-mountain/enduro 720 Awake 1.0 è avvenuto nell’estate 2020. Nella primavera del 2021, la gamma di prodotti sarà arricchita dal casco da city bike 720 Circle 1.0 e il lancio di un casco da sci è previsto per la stagione invernale 2021/2022. Tutti i caschi SEVENTWENTY sono dotati di nucleo HexaGo® e possono essere acquistati sul sito www.720protections.com e nella crescente rete di rivenditori specializzati.

720protections is a new company that sells helmets with a new impact absorbtion technology.
So what makes 720 helmets different?
It’s their HexaGo technology. This honeycomb structure forms the core of their helmets and is made of H.E.A.P. (High Energy Absorption Polymer). H.E.A.P. deforms in the event and distributes impact forces over a larger area than usual helmets, 720 say. Also – and that’s another key feature – it returns to its original shape.
In order to get a certification, EU standard EN 1078 requires helmets transfer a maximal acceleration force of 250g to a cyclist’s head. 720 say that from a medical point of view, 250g is more than your head can handle without sustaining severe injuries. Luckily, average helmets take that value down to ~171g, but obviously those values vary quite a lot.

Unter einer Schale aus Polycarbonat soll ein wabenförmiges Elastomer die Kräfte im Fall eines Aufpralls dämpfen. Mit gerade mal 115 g liegt die Beschleunigungskraft laut Prüfbericht deutlich unter dem Mittel unseres letzten Vergleichstests (193,8 g). Zusätzlich sollen auch die Rotationskräfte reduziert werden. Im Test überzeugte der Awake 1.0 mit seiner gelungenen Passform, dem praktischen Magnetschloss und einem leicht verstellbaren Kopfband.
